 We got our copy of SOCOM: Confrontation with the official Sony PS3 mic in the box. The mic itself is Bluetooth like most Sony peripherals and it comes with battery pre-installed. You also get a charging stand that allows you to use the mic while charging. Of course you'll need a longer USB cable for that - the one you get in the package is about 12" in length - hardly long enough to reach you on the couch. You get two rubber ear gaskets to fit the mic in your ear better but no foam covers. Syncing is done in the standard Bluetooth scanning method you're used to (passcode 0000 yo), the sound and mic pickup are good. Can't say it's better than the Jawbone we usually use but the charge stand does make this easier to use (we don't wear the mic in our ear because we're sporting wireless headphones...wife's choice, not ours).
