 Today the venerable PlayStation 3 turns 2 years old. It seems almost like it was yesterday that we first heard about Blu-ray and look at us now... Sony also told us today that they have sold 17+ million PS3s and that PSN has 14+ million "active" accounts. They also point out that Xbox LIVE has "just" 12 million accounts. Nice, but Microsoft gets money for their Gold accounts and that seems to be working out A-OK for them. While the Sony online experience is free, we don't think the case can be made that it's better than XBLIVE. In any event, happy birthday kid!
