About ALT+F4...

This site was started with two basic premises in mind. The first is to provide gaming news and information. We'll add some comments in there too because we like to write and every now and then it adds some humor (sometimes even we get lucky!) or at least a little value. Secondly we launched the site to offer an alternative to gamers looking to start a clan or just hang/meet people with similar interests but don't have time or the inclination to start up a site on their own.

Who we are is you. We are parents, dog and cat owners, and general riff-raff. We are the average gamer with a life and responsibilities that sometimes keep us from playing; of course when we do get a chance, we go at it hardcore and pwn some faces...

We believe in working with the community to create great content - that's what makes gaming unique, a gigantic social experiment where MP gaming brings together all sorts of people.  We don't know everything, heck, compared to some of you we're just noobs - you understand gaming just as much as we do...perhaps even more. So when you register with us and become active on the site -- whether you write a profile post or create a new review or blog post, or maybe even something we haven’t even thought of yet -- if we like it, we’ll do our best to make sure people see it.

We want ALT+F4 to be the one of the best places for great gaming content created by gamers. Which bring us to...

About the ALT+FEED Section...

What's this ALT+FEED section all about exactly? Well, it's simple, this is where your posts live. That is until you've wowed us with your grasp of the gaming lexicon and Engrish skills force us to put you on the front page...

First, whenever you post something @ ALT+F4, your story will go to the ALT+FEED section, a catchall for all of the members posts on this site. Then, if your content grabs our attention, we’ll take a closer look. If we feel your post is top-notch material (well written, good points, hot news), we’ll do some editorial magic on your post to fix any errors (and create our own...) for quality control, then promote it to the homepage to sit alongside our own content; you might even score a featured article spot with a banner. Of course, all posts won't be suitable for front-page promotion you never know, maybe you complaining about a 20 year old Knight Rider episode might apply to gaming in some weird way... Even if it doesn't, all posts have a home in the ALT+FEED section.

About Our Contests...

From time-to-time we have some great contests here at ALT+F4. From games to gaming schwag we're usually good for at least one contest per month. While contest rules may vary for each, we reserve the right to rescind any goods that go unclaimed within a month of winners being notified whether it states it in the contest post or not. We will try multiple times to reach winners but at the end of a month, we'll bank the goods and offer them in another contest. 

It's simple, if you enter a contest, make sure you come back to see if you won.
