Unlike Niko Bellic of GTA IV, and most of the other central GTA characters you may be familiar with, Johnny Klebitz is no newcomer to the tumultuous underworld of Liberty City, he's a local that lets you see the streets through fresh eyes. VP of "The Lost" motorcycle club and brother of Billy, the club's hot-headed president, Johnny built up profitable truces with other local gangs while his brother was in rehab, but now that Billy's out, chaos is back at the forefront of life for this crew.

Fun romp in Liberty City but there's some issues

Leet-sauce You're a kick ass biker dude, more GTA is good, missions better than vanilla GTA IV, Billy is a bad-ass, great sounds from bikes, tires screeching to the music

4-noobs Characters not that realistic or true to type, too much God-damned rain, Johnny is a pussy, graphics still fuzzy, leaned on GTA IV vanilla content too much (i.e., Niko and some missions)

Review The Lost and Damned is an ambitious piece of DLC that is just a hair away from being a full fledged game on it's own. There is that much to do and you'll find yourself spending hours on just the game's main storyline.

You play Johnny Klebitz, a Jewish biker. Odd maybe and Billy does poke fun at you once or twice but The Lost takes all comers regardless of race or religion so no problems there. The problem with Johnny isn't his ethnicity, it's his contradictory nature. He's a bad-ass when it comes to a fight and can more than hold his own but he's really a pussy that tries all he can to get out fighting. Really, it gets annoying hearing him whine about the fighting and killing because he does plenty of his own given the chance. He whines to just about everyone in the game. It doesn't really work for me.

Speaking of types, the rest of the characters, with the exception of maybe Congressman Stubbs, are very one-dimensional and lack any sort of shading. Things are either this way or not, no gray, just black & white for seemingly no reason. It would add a lot to the story line to have some shady AND duplicitous characters instead of the brute personalities all the time.

The gameplay is typical GTA IV and there are no problems there. You go on your missions, shoot some people, kidnap some, rescue some, steal some things. You know, the usual. It's fun as hell just like it's supposed to be. Of course there are some quirks, some of you gang can get killed but they'll show up later anyway. You'll leave your bike but BAM! there it is again even though it's supposed to be two islands back. Small quirks but it's a bit sloppy.

Rockstar added some more multiplayer features along with the single player but the new achievements are strictly singleplayer.

All in all, it's a fun addition to GTA IV and well worth the price paid. The game was for the most part easy but it's not about the skill, it's about being in and interacting with Liberty City.
