Sega Dreamcast Celebrates 10th Birthday with New Game Announcement - Rush Rush Rally Racing

Dreamcast Rush Rally Racing Today is the Sega Dreamcast's 10th birthday and to celebrate there's a new game release announcement for the system. No, I'm not joking, Rush Rush Rally Racing (Red Spot Games) was announced today for the Dreamcast and it purports to be a straight-up fun racer without any of that corporate NASCAR baggage that new games seem to focus on. So they say. The game will be available in October; details are below.

Going back to the Sega Dreamcast, it was a system that was ahead of its time with features that we take for granted from today's consoles but 10 years earlier. I'm of course talking about the console's build in modem and Internet access. This translated into online multiplayer that was only being done on PCs at the time. It took the combined strength of Nintendo's GameCube and the Sony PlayStation 2 to kill the Dreamcast but because of it those systems were made possible. Happy birthday!
