EA is providing more info about the rebooted Medal of Honor series they released a teaser trailer for a little earlier today. Turns out some of my guesses were right on the money. The game will take place in modern-day Afghanistan featuring a new military entity (unnamed at this point) that takes missions nobody else can handle.

In addition to the single player game, EA is wisely tasking DICE with developing the multiplayer component of the game. No word on what engine this game will run but with DICE on board we might just be looking at Frostbite 2 here. Of course DICE also has experience with the Unreal Engine (Mirror's Edge) so that is possible as well.

One more bit of good news, the game is being developed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It's nice to see EA keeping the PC in mind still and hopefully this won't be a port.

EA is so pumped about this they even released some box art images which is a little unusual at this stage but not unheard of. The game is expected to arrive sometime in 2010.
