Dead Space 2 Confirmed

While they didn't provide a release date (and one wasn't mentioned in EA's last earnings call), Visceral Games has confirmed that Isaac and the Necromorphs are coming back in Dead Space 2. Dead Space was a surprise hit for EA that spawned the Wii-only Dead Space: Extraction this year so this is hardly surprising. Visceral is also rolling off of Dante's Inferno so it's only logical that they are starting to ramp up their next big project's spin.

According to Dead Space 2 executive producer Steve Papoutsis (via Gamasutra):

In Dead Space 2, not everything is exactly as it seems. Expect plot twists that will surprise you and a huge cast of twisted, disgusting monsters that are sure to scare the daylights out of you.

	... So Isaac's back. Can't feel too excited either way about that since he was such a blank character, but I guess it's nice to know just because of the personal attachment as a result of playing as him and "being" him.
