Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Hits May 11th For Nearly Every Platform

The next Prince of Persia game "The Forgotten Sands" will hit the streets on May 11, 2010 for just about every platform. This means there will be version for DS, DSi, PC, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360. Ubisoft essentially did the same thing with the last PoP game and that worked out well for them so why not I guess.

The game was thrust upon us a couple of weeks ago following a rumor that forced Ubi's hand in revealing the game. In addition to knowing every platform gets a version of the game, Ubi also revealed a bit about the plot in Forgotten Sands: Prince of Persia:

The Forgotten Sands is the next chapter in the fan-favorite Sands of Time universe. Visiting his brother’s kingdom following his adventure in Azad, the Prince finds the royal palace under siege from a mighty army bent on its destruction. When the decision is made to use the ancient power of the Sand in a desperate gamble to save the kingdom from total annihilation, the Prince will embark on an epic adventure in which he will learn to bear the mantle of true leadership, and discover that great power often comes with a great cost.

One other thing is known, this game takes place in-between The Sands of Time and Warrior Within.
