2009 was a phenomenal year for gaming that gave us instant classics like MW2, Uncharted 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassin's Creed 2 and Killzone 2. Fortunately, 2010 promises to keep gamers just as happy with some truly great looking games.
Below is our list of the most anticipated games of 2010 and as you can imagine, it wasn't easy to put together and there are going to be disagreements. That we have so many games coming out we want to play is great news. The list is not in any particular order so we're not favoring one over the other.
Let us know what's on your list in the comments.
God of War 3 - Kratos is back in his first PS3 adventure and it's sure to be a great game because the first two were and I really don't think Sony is going to drop the ball on one of it's best franchises.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - This game is going to reinvigorate the Battlefield franchise for EA and give PC gamers a real choice over MW2. The PS3 beta went well so the game is poised to breakout beyond the jokey single player campaign from the first game and present gamers with a modern destructible battlefield featuring multiple classes and true squad support.
Mass Effect 2 - The first game grabbed people with it's interesting (although derivative) story that also featured quite a bit of side missions that helped gamers level up and get ready for the bigger campaign fights. Borrowing from Epic Game's Cliff B., this game is going to be bigger and more bad-ass than the first.
