Metro 2033 Coming to You in DX11 and 3D

Metro 2033 THQ wants you to know that their upcoming sci-fi shooter Metro 2033 (based on the book of the same name) is going to be DX11 compliant and also will support NVIDIA's 3D Vision and PhysX features. What's the big deal you ask? This means they get to use fancy words like "Full Tessellation" to describe their character models.

The game's developer 4A Games has been working with NVIDIA directly to make sure Metro 2033 supports the new features so you can imagine that for PC gamers sporting ATI cards they might be missing out on something here. Maybe ATI only gets part-time Tessellation.

If you haven't heard of it yet, Metro 2033 is a lot like Fallout 3 but instead of being hundreds of years into an alternate future, you just a couple of years into it. You'll get some FPS action and RPG dialog options... just like Fallout 3.

Metro is scheduled for release in North America and Germany on the 16th March, Australia on the 18th March, and in the UK and the rest of Europe on the 19th March, on Xbox 360 and PC. If you pre-order from Amazon (by following this link) you'll get a swanky gas-mask for your XBLIVE Avatar.
