Some Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC Server Details

BFBC2 Ars Technica has a good article posted this morning with a BFBC2 producer that is actually PC-based instead of console. In the article, Ars relays and interview they had with Anders Gyllenberg about Battlefield: Bad Company 2 where they tried to make it about MW2 vs BFBC2 but Anders didn't bite. He did provides some details about the dedicated servers and even though these are things most of you know already I thought I'd grab a quote

"All servers are dedicated, hosted by some of our partners. If you have a clan or if you are a bunch of friends who want a safe haven where you can meet up, our server partners offer the possibility of controlling your own server," he told Ars. "Reserved slots is one of the features. As an admin you will also have the option of enabling several features such as friendly fire ratio, Minimap on/off, 3D spotting on/off, etc. You can also password-protect your server if you want to do some serious practice prior to an important game."

One item you might not know, or haven't thought about, is that when you password protect a server stats are not submitted for ranks essentially making it a locked unranked server.

If you haven't ordered your copy of BFBC2 yet, you can get it from Amazon with release day delivery still available. On top of that, PS3 and Xbox 360 version get you $20 back which is pretty damn sweet. Follow this link: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
