I'm currently playing through the God of War collection when not shooting it up with BFBC2. Now I played the PSP GoW game, Olympus Unchained and really liked it. Problem is I'm not digging GoW1 all that much.

For starters there really isn't much of a lead in story, where's the info about his family? His wife and daughter?

Sadly my night of wandering around a strange new world that I've never gone to before was dashed. A 2GB patch was waiting to be downloaded last night and it took forever. By the time it was done the servers were closed.

I've been knocking around in ME1 trying to get caught up in a story and it's not happening.

I keep getting snagged by redundant dialog, moments that are supposed to be important that don't work (becoming a Specter...not very dramatic at all) and clunky ship movements. Honestly, I have a guy piloting, I should just be able to tell him where to drive the God damn ship. I can't tell you how many times I hit B and got knocked out of the star map.

Don't you just hate it when all you want to do is play a little but you never seem to actually turn the machine on? That was my night last night. I just wanted to spend some time with Gears 2 again but other things got in the way.

First I had to update some things on the site, take down the one banner on the homepage that wasn't getting clicked and got in the way anyway, change the banners in the forum (that you should be clicking on and saving money!), fixing some backend items, posting about Dark Corners, posting about SWTFU DLC and a whole bunch of other things.
