Team Fortress 2 Scout Update Starts Dribbling in - New Bat

TF2 Scout Update

Valve is starting to release info on the impending Scout update just like they did with the Heavy - in excruciatingly slow daily updates. They are going to stretch this one out for six days it looks like and late yesterday afternoon was day one. What do we get on the first day? How about a new bat and some balls - The Sandman - to kick some ass with. Balls of steel..balls, balls, balls...

Gotta tell you, we think this might be more fun than BF1943 or BF Heroes is going to be...at least this game doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is.

BF1943

There are multiple sources and mounting evidence out there reporting that EA will be showing the "true" inheritor of the Battlefield name at next week's NYC Comic Con. It's going to be...Battlefield 1943. We can't say we're happy about this because we'd rather have a modern-themed BF game but we'll keep an open mind because we're BF sluts. Keep in mind we have reason to be unhappy because here is the lowdown

“Battlefield 1943 is a new take on a blast from the past classic coming to life with brand new technology that we’re eager to get into players hands,” said Karl Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer Battlefield Franchise, DICE.

The game is limited to 24 players and just three maps - Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.

See, you're disappointed now too. Word is this will also be available for download on XBLIVE, PSN and for PC this summer. Well, at least is something other than BF Heroes.

Are Xbox 360 Exclusives Enough to Save the System?

Xbox 360 Eh, what is this, does the 360 need saving? Well according to some people it does because the PS3 is finally going to roll over Microsoft's crappy little console. The title of this is obviously flame-bait but it's supposed to be so because it flips the "Are PS3 Exclusives Enough to Save the System?" around and points the finger at the 360.

The Xbox saw sales increase after the price drop late in the year but the PS3 was gaining ground up until that point. With the power of it's exclusives and perhaps a price drop on the way for the PS3, can the Xbox 360 keep up the momentum and it's lead?

Are PS3 Exclusives Enough to Save the System?

Yes the title of this is a little loaded but there are no shortage of commentators out there wondering if the PS3 is dying a slow but steady death. While don't agree with that, we are concerned as PS3 owners whether or not people are buying the system. If more people buy the console, more games will be developed for it that stand out from the usual cross-console games.

Now, can exclusives drive PS3 sales, that's the question isn't it? Can PS3-only games sell enough consoles to "save" the system? We're asking because games made for both PS3 and Xbox 360 sell more, usually a lot more, Xbox versions. Now if those are the games you are most interested in (Call of Duty for example) then you'd probably just by a 360 because it's a lot cheaper. So, are the exclusive PS3 games enough to make you buy a more expensive system. Hmmm.
