EA has been restricting new game servers being put online for over a week now because their master server that handles logins and stats keeps crashing due to overcapacity. This means there are untold numbers of gamers that have essentially been having a crappy time trying to play BFBC2 online. The ALT+F4 server has been affected as has every other game server.
With luck this will put the issues behind us and allow gamers to just enjoy the game.

Just like the MW2 map-pack the BFBC2 maps will hit on March 30th; unlike MW2, the maps will be made available to all platforms - not just Xbox 360. Boom, head shot! I will say one thing though about this "map pack", it's nothing really new which is disappointing and takes some of the punch out of it. What we're going to get here are new game modes for existing maps. You'll be able to play Conquest on Arica Harbor and Rush on Laguna Presa. It's kind of like making fun of the guy with the broken down Porsche when you drive by in your Honda. In the end he's going to get it fixed and who'll be laughing then?
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are adding the game modes, I just want to see some new maps. Specifically, I want to see Karkand 2.0 and I'm not alone in that thought.

Well it looks like OnLive is working well enough in beta to go for a real-live launch now. They've announced that the service will start June 17th and will include games from the big publishers that includes hits like Assassin's Creed 2, Borderlands and Mass Effect 2. At GDC today, the CEO of OnLive said their would be somewhere from 12-25 titles at launch. No exactly a monster number there which is a little surprising given the amount of time they've been working on this. Subscribers get access for $14.95 per month.
I've already got all the gaming platforms covered so this isn't the product for me. I'm more interested in the potential for this to be used with the iPhone that we heard about a few months ago but nothing else has been said about that.

The one that caught my eye first was the fact that it will support Sony's still unnamed motion controller but they don't mention Natal support at all. Now that might not be a big deal because Natal was designed to be a more seamless controller that would work with most games anyway but we'll see if that works in practice without special code built into the game. Maybe it uses on-board game profiles to port support - that would make the most sense actually.
