Activision and IW provided nothing more than a date of March 30th. No number of maps, no list of maps, no screenshots. Just. A. Date. Of course with GDC going on right now in San Fran it's likely we'll get more info on this soon and there was also the leak last week that's on Youtube showing at least five maps - Crash, Overgrown, Complex, Compact and Storm. This is all unofficial but Activision keeps getting the video taken down so that might mean something...

If you're lucky, you might still access to the beta through Fileplanet which is proving to be a great source for betas lately.

Yeah, I know two really isn't all that many but we hadn't had any before the first set appeared about 2 weeks ago (including the image at the right) some progress is being made.
Maybe one day we'll get a release date that's a bit more accurate than Holiday 2010 but I doubt that's coming soon.

When asked about whether Halo Reach was more similar to Halo 3 or ODST Bungie's Community Director Brian Jarrad game some subtle insight into what the Bungie crew feels about ODST:
While hardly condemning it isn't exactly praise either. My take on ODST was that it was a good game marred by Microsoft's handling of the marketing when it went from DLC to full-fledged game....ODST was more of niche game, it was a little bit of an experiment," Jarrard said. "We didn't have to stay tried and true to the Halo formula."
